about
At the moment COVID-19 is on everyone's mind and we're no different. We wrote and recorded this at our houses during the quarantine to try and do something creative and fun while we can't leave. All the proceeds to this song will go The Ali Forney Center, which provides for the homeless lgbt community and we will match your donations up to $500, so let's do some good!
lyrics
Your prior plans
and work towards health
are irrelevant.
The Earth's been keeping score
with its own
checks and balances.
And now we're left to our own devices
kicking and screaming.
And I can't fall asleep because I'm
bad at breathing.
We're all contagious.
Don't go outside.
You know, if worst comes to worst
I think you should go first.
It's alright.
Our former lives
and flawed system
were precarious.
We walked the ragged edge so long
we forgot it's dangerous.
And now the wind has disturbed our footing
with no safety net.
We're reaching out for someone to save us
but there's no one left.
We're all contagious.
Don't go outside.
You know, if worst comes to worst
I think you should go first.
It's alright, I'll be right behind.

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs

A little heavier than the previous 'Post-'. Has a BtMI! vibe, but Jeff's stuff, especially this album has shown how much he's grown into his own style. There's some great tunes on this album. And def check out the Ska redeux album, Ska Dream. smiledozer69
